Big Chipper's BBQ was founded in Spring of 2013. After a prosperous 30 year career in sales, I felt the time was right to strike out on my own. I had been cooking competitive chili for about 20 years, which inspired me and a friend to found Red Lion Spicy Foods Company. We have been successfully offering a line of chili powders, salsas, hot pickles and other savory products. Cooking has always been a passion of mine and the spicy food company inspired me to create recipes with a spicier profile. Always looking to broaden my horizons, I ventured into the world of competitive BBQ. I have competed primarily in the Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned events During that time I met my current wife, Sally, who shares my love and enthusiasm for competitive cooking. We feel that we have honed our BBQ skills enough to offer some darn good BBQ. What sets us apart from other companies is the added emphasis on heat. In addition to the traditional styles of BBQ made popular from Kansas City to the Carolinas to Texas, we will be offering spicier renditions of the classics.
